Maureen Johnson

Women’s Ministry Leader

I’m really excited about being the new Women’s Ministry Leader and getting together to fellowship, grow in the Lord together, getting to know one another, and serving the Lord together.

I hope we can be unified as the Women of the Church in growing in our love and care for one another. I’m looking forward to spending time with all of you ladies and being able to serve you.

My favorite chapter in the Bible is Philippians 4.

Discipleship Director John Mitchell

john-mitchell-97241I was saved in April 1992 at Gentian Baptist Church in Columbus GA.  I have been involved in leadership and teaching for the past 37 years, working in a variety of capacities from military to young adult Sunday Schools to Youth Director.

I am married to Judy and have one son, Trey.

I have a passion for teaching God’s truth and bringing the past into modern day life.  God’s word is true and not to be played with.  What you see is what you get with me: passion, understanding, respect and a smile.

My favorite passage is John 10 verses 27-30, which gives me hope in my sinful nature:  ” My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow Me.  I give them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one”.

“Since being saved at a young age in 1975, I have been serving the Lord at my home church in various areas. Led by the Lord to North Glen in December 2013 and excited to see Him at work leading others into the family to serve each other and our surrounding community. Kim Gayleard

Special Needs Ministry Leader

3I have been married for 25 years with three children. My experiences consist of seven years of special needs experience.

I’m a former PTA President at my children’s elementary school, and now home school our youngest who is on the autism spectrum.

One of our very-quickly-growing outreaches is our Special Needs Ministry! We offer our special class each Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We have a great time with Bible study that pertains to our everyday life. If you are interested in helping out, let me know. Also, if you have a special needs family member or friend, we would love to include them!

“My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.

The Apostle Paul said these words because he knew no matter what he had to endure God would be with him. As a person who was born with Spina Bifida and Lymphedema I have learned to lean on this verse. I am in a wheelchair and consider it a gift from God. God allows things in your life to bring joy!

I am so happy you stopped by our website today!
